Komatsu Ltd. (hereafter “Komatsu”) (President and CEO: Takuya Imayoshi) has been selected for the 20th consecutive time as a component of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index (hereafter “DJBICI World”). We are honored to receive this recognition from one of the world's leading ESG indices, developed by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC in the United States.
For the DJBICI World selection, companies are evaluated based on a wide range of criteria across three dimensions: governance & economic, environmental, and social. Companies ranking within the top 10 percent of each industry are selected for the DJBICI World. In 2026, approximately 2,500 large-scale companies worldwide were assessed, of which 317 companies were selected.
In the latest evaluation, Komatsu received especially high scores in several criteria, including supply chain management, climate change initiatives across its business operations, and human resource development.
